The Leonardo Royal Hotel Munich celebrated its opening on Saturday, the 30th of April 2011, in Munich with a large grand opening party featuring a “Northern Light” theme. Numerous celebrities from the show business, arts, culture and design industries as well as politicians and business heavyweights plus professional athletes strolled over the red carpet of the trendy design hotel in the North of Munich.

In the scope of its innovative outsourcing concept, KFP is the preferred supplier of the hotel since its opening (3rd of January 2011) and is therefore responsible for all requirements of the meeting and event industry in the IT, audio and video segments plus the respective technical support during events and meetings in the hotel’s ballroom and the additional nine flexible conference rooms. The MICE area inside the hotel encompasses a total space of more than 1,800 m2. The long-lasting experience of KFP in the conference and hotel industry had already played an important role long before the opening of the hotel in the scope of a cooperative partnership. As a result, the Leonardo Group was able to rely on the know-how and consulting services of KFP already in the planning phase for the custom-tailored equipment regarding its conference technology.

The Innovative Highlight of the Grand Opening Party:
“Mega-Live-Image-Projection”

The entire front of the inner building was played with a creative and innovative projection on a projection surface of 40 x 30 meters. Over the course of the projection, nine gigabytes of high resolution content with 786,432 animated pixels were shown. Three-dimensional effects and live VJ-ing (synchronous adaptation to the music) were among the highlights of the “Mega-Live-Image-Projection”.
